The majestic, National Mosque of Malaysia is also referred to as the Masjid Negara. Reputed for being one of the highest and most distinct skyscrapers standing tall in the Kuala Lumpur night sky, this iconic landmark with its staggering history and immensely impressive construction has been on the list of must visit locations in Kuala Lumpur.
The Kuala Lumpur Mosque, or Masjid Wilayah, was constructed between 1998 to 2000. The mosque's design is a blend of Ottoman and Malay architectural styles, heavily influenced by the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey. It has 22 domes made from a composite material of glass fibre fabric mixed with epoxy resin to make it durable and light.
Also known as the National Palace or Istana Negara, is the official residence of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (Malaysian King).
The Petronas Towers, also known as the Petronas Twin Towers or KLCC Twin Towers. It is the the tallest twin towers in the world, and its status has remained unchallenged since 1996.
Dataran Merdeka or Merdeka Square is undoubtedly KL's best known landmark. Also called Dataran Merdeka, it is set in front of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building

La tour KL offre une autre vue depuis sa colline boisée, et la place Merdeka, où le drapeau national fut hissé à l'indépendance, est encadrée par le bâtiment Sultan Abdul Samad de style mauresque.
