As we travel around the rim of the crater on the small dirt track we can appreciate the Sete Cidades crater below us.
We make a small comfort stop inside the crater to visit the church, have a quick coffee and use the rest rooms
We view both the green and blue lakes and have a great view from the bridge that separates them

5Beauty Abounds!
Beautiful scenery and wonderful stops for photography. Loved that Miguel found us less crowded stops for our photos.
5A great half day tour
We had a great tour. The weather didn't cooperate for the best views but our tour guide still made it worthwhile. We stopped several times for some good pictures and for a bathroom break and snack.

An unforgettable experience! Sergio was our host and he went above and beyond to ensure we saw Sete Cidades from every conceivable angle. He was very knowledgeable and shared it with us to the nth degree. So thank you, Sergio! The splendor of it all will never be forgotten.
5Amazing experience
Our guide, Andre C., gave us an amazing tour. He knew so much about the history of the island and was able to answer all of our questions. The views that we saw were unlike anything we have ever seen. This was definitely the highlight of our trip.

We just returned from a week on Sao Miquel, and this jeep tour of Sete Cidades was the HIGHLIGHT! You'll drive on roads and see overlooks that you would not get to otherwise...breath-taking! Andre Cardoso was our driver, and I would completely recommend him. SO knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us plenty of time to see everything, take pictures, made sure we were comfortable, and answered our many questions, both of the sites, but also our curiosity about what life is like for the locals. DO NOT MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY!
