Points forts
June 6, 1944 changed the world. This tour takes you to the exact places where it happened. At Sainte-Mère-Église, your guide tells the story of the American paratroopers who jumped into darkness before the landings even began — the first liberators to touch French soil. At Pointe du Hoc, you stand among the craters and bunkers where U.S. Army Rangers scaled 30-meter cliffs under fire at dawn. At Omaha Beach, you walk the actual sand from Saving Private Ryan with sector-by-sector commentary that brings every minute of June 6 to life. At the American Cemetery, 9,387 white crosses face the English Channel above the sea. Your licensed WWII guide connects every site into one coherent narrative. Your return to Cherbourg cruise terminal before the all-aboard time is guaranteed.

Itinéraire
Your memorable journey will begin at the cruise terminal, where you will be greeted by our local representatives and your experienced English-speaking guide. The drive to Omaha Beach will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, where your tour will begin.
This town holds a significant place in history as one of the first to be liberated during D-Day in World War II. It is best known for its iconic church, which draws visitors intrigued by the story of paratrooper John Steele, whose parachute became caught on the church steeple during the Allied invasion. We will stop at a local bakery where you can purchase food, though you are also welcome to bring your own meal—especially if you have specific dietary needs or restrictions.
Afterward, head to Omaha Beach and pass along 8 km of coastline facing the English Channel. Ashore, you will find a sculpture called Les Braves, meaning "The Braves" in honor of the soldiers who fought in the war. There will be an opportunity to stop for a quick lunch near Omaha Beach.
Next, continue the tour to the Normandy American Cemetery to pay tribute to the fighters of the battle. The visitor center offers a detailed exhibition about the war. This will be our last stop before heading back for a 2-hour drive to the port or your hotel.
After driving for 2 hours through the Normandy countryside, your first stop will be at Pointe du Hoc, where you can see the numerous bomb craters that have remained untouched since the war. Climb through the various bunkers to witness how the Germans used the cliffs to their advantage, and imagine how the Americans attacked and captured the battery after scaling the cliffs.
As your memorable journey draws to an end, we will make our way back to Cherbourg, our final stop. Sit back, unwind, and take in the passing Normandy countryside as you reflect on the powerful moments and historical insights experienced throughout the day.

About Mont-St-Michel
Mont-Saint-Michel is a rocky tidal island in a vast bay on the Normandy coast, crowned by a medieval abbey and ringed by ramparts and fast tides.
Mont-Saint-Michel rises from the sands of a wide bay at the mouth of the Couesnon river, on the border of Normandy and Brittany. According to tradition the first sanctuary was built here in 708, and over the centuries a Benedictine abbey grew up the rock in granite tiers, topped by a church and a spire. The island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
