Selinunte was one of the most important of the Greek colonies in Sicily. The archaeological site contains five temples centered on an acropolis.
Afterward, your driver will take you to a local farm estate. This lovely farm sits among groves of nocellara olives and vineyards and is famous for its own production of olive oil. Here you will enjoy a private tour of the fields led by the owner of the estate. In this rural atmosphere you will have an olive oil tasting, of the estate own production, and a lunch based on local delicious specialties, a tree-courses lunch, and wine. About Agrigento
Agrigento is a hilltop city on Sicily's south coast, best known for the Valley of the Temples, a ridge of Greek temples standing above the sea.
Agrigento looks out to the Mediterranean from a hill on Sicily's southern coast. Greek colonists founded it around 580 BC as Akragas, and the poet Pindar called it the fairest city of mortals. The Valley of the Temples, a World Heritage site just below the modern town, is a ridge of Doric temples from the fifth century BC; the best preserved is the Temple of Concordia, saved because it was later turned into a church.
