Points forts

Step inside the iconic walled city of Saint-Malo, on this fun and captivating 2-hour walking tour. I’m an American who has been living in France for over a decade, and am now a proud husband and father living in the Saint-Malo area. I fell in love with this city’s rich history, vibrant culture, and stunning seaside charm, and it’s my pleasure to share it with you. On this tour, you’ll: Stroll charming cobblestone streets and explore medieval ramparts with breathtaking sea views Uncover Saint-Malo’s world-shaping history: pirates, World War II stories, and more using my archive photobook Learn the local lore of each street and anecdotes only a passionate local guide can share Taste complementary Breton butter biscuits and receive a characterful postcard made by a local artist. My goal is to be a passionate and personable host who makes you feel connected to the city's past and present. Perfect for travelers interested in culture, history, and authentic local experiences.

About Rennes

Rennes, the capital of Brittany, is a young university city of half-timbered houses, a grand parliament building and buckwheat galettes.

Rennes stands where the Ille meets the Vilaine, inland from the Breton coast. A fire in 1720 destroyed much of the city, which was rebuilt in stone to a grid plan, but the lanes around Place Sainte-Anne and Rue du Chapitre kept their half-timbered houses. The Parlement de Bretagne, a seventeenth-century palace, was badly burned in 1994 and has since been restored, and the town hall and opera house stand side by side on the central square.
