The Sahara desert is not an excursion from Marrakech. The distance makes us need to travel to Merzouga and return, so we need at least one night on the way if we really want to enjoy the desert. Then, we can contemplate the sunrise and the sunset and enjoy the tranquility. You have also, the whole afternoon to carry out all kinds of activities; buggies, sandboard, dromedaries, etc.

The Ksar of Aït Ben Haddou is the best preserved set of kasbahs in Morocco. The setting for a multitude of films by Hollywood production companies and many other international production companies. An essential visit in this tour.

The Todra Gorges are an obligatory stop on the way to Merzouga. We will make a one-hour stop to explore the riverbed, contemplate the mountains and take some photos.
We will arrive in the desert before lunch. This is the only way to enjoy the desert. The sunset and the sunrise the next day are two shows that we cannot miss. During the hot months, we can relax in the pool in the hours when the dunes are not accessible.

About Ouarzazate
Ouarzazate is a kasbah town in southern Morocco at the foot of the High Atlas, known as a gateway to the desert and a centre of film-making.
Ouarzazate lies on a high, dry plain south of the High Atlas, where the road over the Tizi n'Tichka pass from Marrakech meets the valleys that lead on to the Draa and the Dades. The Taourirt Kasbah, a sprawling mud-brick fortress of the Glaoui family, stands beside the old town, with painted ceilings and narrow rooms. The wide avenues of the newer town are quiet, and the Atlas Mountains make a snow-capped backdrop in winter.
