Meteora: In a region of almost inaccessible sandstone peaks, monks settled on these 'columns of the sky' from the 11th century onwards. Meteora is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Athènes dresse l'Acropole au-dessus d'une capitale moderne étendue, où ruines antiques, ruelles en pente et longues soirées en taverne se côtoient.

Le Parthénon couronne l'Acropole, flanqué de l'Érechthéion et de sa tribune des Caryatides, et le musée de l'Acropole, au pied de la colline, présente les sculptures trouvées sur le rocher.
