Itinéraire
This is a small Buddhist temple with a excellent scenary of the Gijang coast in Busan. After getting off at the parking lot, walk to the entrance, view the statues of the Twelve Zodiac Animals, and then descend the 108 steps to take in the panoramic view of Haedong Yonggungsa Temple. Afterward, visit the main hall (Daeungjeon) and the statue of Avalokitesvara (Gwanseeum-bosal) before returning to the parking lot to finish the tour. Restrooms: Located behind the parking lot and inside the temple grounds.
Dongbaek Island is located in Haeundae area and the place where red camellia are bloomed in March. Inside the island, there is a special building, Nurimaru, that was the venue for the 2005 APEC summit and exhibited the summit hall as original. The itinerary continues with a walk along the Dongbaekseom trail, offering views of Haeundae Beach. In June, you can also see hydrangeas blooming at the entrance to the beach.
Gamcheon Culture Village was created jointly by original residents and refugees from the Korean War. It began as a shantytown after the war, transformed into a neighborhood of colorful brick houses in the 1970s, and remains to this day. Within these vibrantly colored homes lie the joys and sorrows of the refugees who once lived there.
Songdo Beach opened as the first public beach in 1913. From the Songdo Skywalk, you can walk right above the waves near Turtle Island and admire beautiful South Sea scenary with Namhang Bridge and Yeongdo Island.

About Busan
Busan is South Korea's second city and biggest port, with beaches, hillside villages, temples by the sea and a huge fish market.
Busan lies at the south-east tip of the Korean peninsula, a port city squeezed between mountains and the sea. Haeundae Beach and Gwangalli Beach, backed by high-rise towers, are its best-known stretches of sand. Gamcheon Culture Village, a hillside of colourful stepped houses, was settled by refugees during the Korean War, and the UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea honours soldiers who died in that conflict.
Top-ranked sights in Busan: Gamcheon Culture Village, Jagalchi Fish Market, Haedong Yonggungsa Temple.
