3. Continuing along the coast, you arrive at the spectacular Scoglio dell'Eremita, a natural symbol that marks the entry point to Polignano a Mare. This imposing rock, which stands majestically in the middle of the sea, is named after a hermit who once lived in a nearby cave. From aboard the boat, you can admire its majesty and the contrast between the white rocks and the deep blue of the surrounding waters. Passing through the Rock of the Hermit, we will arrive at Polignano a Mare. where we could enjoy the wonderful coastline seen from the sea we will look out over the most famous beach of Polignano, namely, Lama Monachile. Next door we also meet the suggestive statue of the famous Italian singer-songwriter Domenico Modugno, famous for his song "Volare".

About Alberobello & Locorotondo

Alberobello and Locorotondo are two white hill towns in Puglia's Itria Valley, known for cone-roofed trulli and a round, whitewashed old centre.

Alberobello is a town of trulli, round dry-stone houses with conical grey roofs, built without mortar. More than a thousand of them are packed into the Rione Monti and Aia Piccola districts, which are on UNESCO's World Heritage list. Some trulli are now shops and cafés, one is a church, and the two-storey Trullo Sovrano is a small museum.
