You’ll witness the natural beauty of the Batoka Gorge on the Zambezi River as you fly downriver following this world heritage site’s mighty Zambezi as it carves a path through steep cliffs. We’ll be flying over long island on the upper Zambezi upstream from the falls, towards the Zambezi National Park, home to a wide variety of wildlife. About Victoria Falls
In the Zimbabwean town of Victoria Falls, the Zambezi plunges into a narrow gorge in a roar of spray, mist and rainbows.
Known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya, the Smoke That Thunders, the falls stretch for well over a kilometre across the Zambezi River, and the spray rises so high it can be seen from far away. Paths through the rainforest on the Zimbabwean side lead to viewpoints facing the Main Falls, the Devil's Cataract and Danger Point, with rainbows dancing in the mist.
