  • 5Highly recommended tour guide in Kaohsiung

We had a wonderful experience with Charlie as our tour guide in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He was very patient, attentive, and well-planned, and he planned everything carefully to make sure we had a smooth and enjoyable trip. Charlie also took great photos for us and shared interesting information about local culture and Taiwan’s history. He is also fluent in English and Mandarine, which made communication easy and convenient. We truly appreciated his kindness and professionalism. We would be happy to have Charlie as our guide again in the future and highly recommended him to anyone looking for a reliable and excellent tour guide.

  • 5Thank you Aaron :))

We were extremely unlucky with the weather, as a typhoon hit during our stay and, for safety reasons, the Taiwanese authorities ordered many places and attractions to close. Even with all these limitations, our guide, Aaron, was constantly checking the news and the latest updates, reorganizing our schedule depending on which museums and attractions were still open. With the options that were available, Aaron did everything he could to make sure we made the most of our limited time in Kaohsiung, especially since we were not staying in the city for very long. We were genuinely impressed by the level of care, attention, and effort he showed throughout the tour. Even though the weather and closures made everything more difficult, we never felt that he gave up on trying to give us the best experience possible. As for the tour itself, we thought the itinerary was very good and the places we visited were beautiful. The Buddha Museum is quite far from the city center, so for travelers it is much more comfortable and convenient to visit by car. Kaohsiung is a very interesting city, but many of its most interesting places are outside the city center. For that reason, we really recommend doing a tour, especially if you have limited time and want to see more than just the central areas. We would specifically recommend this tour because we really trusted Aaron. The situation was completely out of his control, but the way he handled everything made a huge difference to our experience. We felt that he truly cared about making our time in Kaohsiung worthwhile despite all the circumstances. We highly recommend both the tour and Aaron as a guide!

  • 5If you get Charlie as your driver, you hit the jackpot!

Charlie was the most amazing driver/guide/person we could have ever hoped for. I could spend the whole day writing about our day out with him. We had the most incredible experience with our driver in Kaohsiung. From the moment he picked us up, he was kind, patient, professional, and genuinely cared about making our day special. He went above and beyond to make sure we saw everything we wanted, adjusted the itinerary to fit our interests, and never once made us feel rushed. He taught us so much about this beautiful country. He took us through beautiful countryside, temples, Monkey Mountain, and hidden scenic spots we never would have found on our own. His driving was safe and smooth the entire day, and he was so thoughtful and accommodating with my family. You can tell he truly takes pride in what he does. What stood out most was his kindness and heart. This did not feel like a standard tour — it felt like spending the day with someone who genuinely wanted us to fall in love with Taiwan. We absolutely did. If you are considering booking this tour, do it. This was the highlight of our entire trip, and we will remember this experience forever. Thank you for such an amazing day and for treating us with so much warmth and care. Highly, highly recommended! We love you, Charlie!

  • 5Great day with Charlie

Charlie made our Kaohsiung experience truly memorable—thoughtful, attentive, and especially patient with my elderly parents. He’s not just a great guide but also an excellent photographer who knows all the best angles, and he brought the city to life with rich historical insights. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a smooth, meaningful, and well-captured journey.

About Kaohsiung

Kaohsiung is Taiwan's southern port city, with a harbour waterfront, art warehouses, a giant Buddha monastery nearby and busy night markets.

Kaohsiung is Taiwan's largest port and one of its biggest cities, on the south-west coast, built around a deep harbour of container ships and ferries. The Love River runs through the centre, its banks lined with cafés and walkways, and the Pier-2 Art Center occupies old harbour warehouses. The 85 Sky Tower, a tall building said to resemble the first Chinese character of the city's name, rises over the centre.
