You will pass by Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you can see rhinos in the wild on you way to Murchison Falls National Park. In Murchison Falls, you will explore the park’s wild savannah, Murchison Falls and the Nile River. You will see many animals including lions, leopards, crocodiles, elephants, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, antelopes and hundreds of bird species. You get to see the Nile squeeze through a 7 – 8 meter wide gorge plunging with a thundering roar into the “Devil’s Cauldron” creating a trademark rainbow and forming Murchison Falls. The Nile itself hosts one of Africa’s densest hippo and crocodile populations & a dazzling variety of water birds including the world’s most accessible wild population of the rare shoe-bill.
