Itinerary
The Matopos National Park is a unique park with a blend of history, culture, and wildlife. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its distinctive granite rock formations, ancient San rock paintings, and diverse wildlife. On the circular drive clients can expect to see wildlife, particularly different Antelope, Zebras, Wildebeests, etc Leopards sightings are rare.
Travellers get to see the grave of Cecil John Rhodes, Jameson & Coghlan. This place is called the Malindidzimu, meaning “A place of Benevolent spirits”, however it’s also known as “World’s View” because of the stunning uninterrupted scenery atop the hill. Sunset views at this site are spectacular and highly recommended
This is the largest cave in the park that is believed to have sheltered a group of about 150 San people who are believed to have scripted the rock paintings found in that cave. Leopards are also said to be found around that cave. There’s also a museum that heralds the life of these historic people
