That’s just how life is when you’re part of the close-knit community at Education City. It’s a place with branch campuses of some of the world’s leading educational institutes, a homegrown research university, start-up incubators, technology parks, heritage sites, cultural institutions, and so much more.
Qatar National Library acts as a steward of Qatar’s national heritage by collecting, preserving and making available the country’s recorded history. In its role as a research library with a preeminent heritage library, the Library fosters and promotes greater global insight into the history and culture of the Gulf region.
Mathaf Collection, co-owned by Qatar Museums and Qatar Foundation, is now holding over 9,000 works, making it the world’s largest specialised collection of its kind. An initial group of works was gathered by H.E. Sheikh Hassan bin Mohammed bin Ali Al Thani.

Al Shaqab stands as an enduring tribute to the Arabian horse and the tradition of equestrian excellence that has co-evolved with this breed in Qatar.

About Doha
Doha, Qatar's capital on the Gulf, pairs a crescent-shaped corniche and striking museums with a traditional souk, wooden dhows and desert dunes.
The Corniche curves along Doha Bay for kilometres, with views of the West Bay skyline and wooden dhows moored in the harbour. At its southern end, the Museum of Islamic Art, designed by I. M. Pei, rises from the water and holds treasures from across the Islamic world, with a waterfront park beside it.
Top-ranked sights in Doha: Souq Waqif, Katara Cultural Village, The Pearl-Qatar.
