Highlights

Estimated 50,000 elephants roaming its vast expanse, it's no wonder that Chobe boasts the highest concentration of elephants per square kilometer in the world. The Chobe River, which runs along the park's northern boundary, serves as a vital water source for the elephants and other wildlife, especially during the dry season. About Livingstone

Livingstone is a Zambian town on the Zambezi River, a few kilometres from Victoria Falls, with a colonial centre, wildlife and river adventures.

Livingstone stands on the northern bank of the Zambezi, about ten kilometres from Victoria Falls, known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya, the Smoke That Thunders. The town grew after the railway arrived in 1905 and was capital of Northern Rhodesia until 1935. It is named after David Livingstone, who in 1855 became the first European to see the falls, and the Livingstone Museum holds his letters and local history.

Top-ranked sights in Livingstone: Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, Devil's Pool, Livingstone Museum.
