• 2Overcharged and underdelivered

  Knowing what I know now, I feel I was taken advantage of. There were two very nice vans to privately transfer my family of 6 to the resort. On our return to the airport, they sent one standard taxi van for us. It seemed like a bait and switch. While there, I discovered that Antigua taxi fares are fixed by the government. Unfortunately, we paid a premium price through Biggvee, which appears to be over twice the government regulated taxi fare.

• 5Smooth ride, Excellent Driver & Service

  This was a great experience. I was a little nervous about our airport transfer given my husband and daughter are motion sensitive and my understanding is that the roads were bumpy. Biggvee came through. Not only did we have a smooth and comfortable ride we had friendly and helpful service from the moment we were greeted until the airport drop off at our departure. My husband and daughter were comfortable both ways. We chose the round trip option and it was peace of mind that we would get consistent service to our hotel and back. The ride was smooth, air conditioned, clean and comfortable. Our driver was friendly and super informative about the island and had recommendations for our trip.

  Great service from start to finish! Both drivers and the greeter at the airport were very friendly! Our drivers gave us great information about Antigua on the ride as well.

  My driver was so so nice, he actually did the round trip transfer. Made me feel comfortable as a solo female traveler. The vehicle was neat and clean. He was very informative by telling me a lot about the island. I would highly recommend! I wish I could remember hls name, everyone including the greeter in the airport were super cool.

About St John's

St John's is the capital of Antigua, a harbour town of low colourful buildings dominated by a twin-towered cathedral.

St John's lies at the head of a deep natural harbour on the north-west coast of Antigua. The Cathedral of St John the Divine, dating from the 1840s, dominates the town with its two towers, and the Museum of Antigua and Barbuda, housed in an eighteenth-century courthouse, tells the island's story from its first settlers to independence. Fort James guards the harbour mouth, and Redcliffe Quay has been restored from old waterfront warehouses.
