The Animal Flower Cave is located under the cliffs at North Point, St. Lucy, Barbados. It is the island's lone accessible sea cave. The cave stands six feet above the high water mark although it was formed at sea level. This has occurred because Barbados is rising at 1 inch per 1000 years. There are coral steps that lead down through an opening in the roof (former blowhole) into the cave. Inside the cave, still found are some sea anemones, which are locally called animal flowers, whence the cave obtained its name. Entrance to the cave is not included in the tour.
Morgan Lewis Windmill, St. Andrew, Barbados is the last sugar windmill to operate in Barbados. The mill stopped operating in 1947. In 1962 the mill was given to the Barbados National Trust by its owner Egbert L. Bannister for preservation as a museum. It is the largest and only complete sugar windmill surviving in the Caribbean.
A unique phenomenon of nature, Harrison's Cave is an amazing gallery of stalactites hanging from the roof of the cave, and stalagmites that emerge from the ground, with streams of crystal-clear running water that drop from breathtaking waterfalls to form deep emerald pools. The stalactites and stalagmites were formed over thousands of years and in some places the stalactites have reached down to the stalagmites and a spectacular pillar has been formed. The tram tour is the most popular, with visitors driven in electrically operated trams down through the extensive system of caves. Excellent tour guides give historical information on this cave along the way.
Bathsheba is the main fishing village in the parish of Saint Joseph with some 5,000 inhabitants on the east coastline of Barbados. The town has a number of quaint churches; Saint Joseph Anglican Church was built on Horse Hill in the town as early as 1640 but was rebuilt in 1839 following a hurricane in 1831.
The tour includes the Great House, gardens, small museum, factory, distillery, not to be missed short movie circa 1930 and rum tasting.

5Definitely Recommend
O’Donovan was very knowledgeable about Barbados and made the tour both enjoyable and informative. The experience was completely customizable, and he was happy to take me anywhere specific I wanted to see, including Rihanna’s childhood home. We also visited a rum distillery, although unfortunately the rum tasting wasn’t available that day. Overall, he was friendly, accommodating, and a great guide. I would definitely recommend booking a tour with him!

An amazing informative experience, O'Donovan was the best possible tour guide we can ask for, went above and beyond for us. If I can leave him a 10 star, I would !!
5Great bespoke tour of the island
O’Donovan was amazing and had such a great knowledge of the island. Not just the different areas, but also the flora and fauna. He was willing to adapt the trip to what we wanted to see. Thank you so much!
5Exceptional Service and tour guide
The experience was great and it was mainly thanks to having a wonderful driver. O’donavan was excellent and provided superior service. He was always on time and in constant communication. He also provided great narrative as we traveled around the island. We highly recommend him for your bookings and will request him again when we return.
5More Than a Tour—A Journey Through My Bajan Heritage ⭐
This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Barbados. When ODonovan picked us up from our hotel, he asked if there were any places or experiences that were especially important to us. I explained that although I’ve visited Barbados about five times, my previous trips had always been for weddings or other celebrations. This visit was different—I wanted to learn more about the island’s history, explore the highlights of Barbados, reconnect with my Bajan heritage, and visit my grandmother’s grave. ODonovan listened carefully and created a personalized itinerary that made the day incredibly meaningful. On the way to the cemetery, he stopped at a local florist, where the owner graciously paused what she was doing to create a beautiful bouquet for my grandmother (Thanks Muriel’s Flowers). We then visited her final resting place. This was my third visit to the cemetery since her passing in 1993, and it was a special moment for me. I’m always amazed to see how the cemetery has changed over the years. During our conversation, I shared memories of my grandmother baking traditional Bajan coconut turnovers. ODonovan smiled and took us to a local bakery where we enjoyed some of the best coconut turnovers I’ve ever tasted—filled with plenty of fresh coconut and every bit as delicious as I remembered. Throughout the tour, ODonovan provided a fascinating overview of Bridgetown and each of the island’s parishes, sharing the history, culture, and stories that make Barbados so unique. We also had time to enjoy a guided tour of Harrison’s Cave, which was another unforgettable experience. One of my biggest goals for this trip was to begin researching my family’s Bajan roots with my son. ODonovan took us to the Archives Department, a resource I didn’t even know existed. Thanks to his knowledge, I now know where to continue my family’s genealogy research. It was an unexpected and invaluable stop that I’ll definitely return to on a future visit. If you’re looking for more than a standard sightseeing tour, I highly recommend ODonovan. His knowledge, flexibility, and genuine passion for sharing Barbados allowed us to experience the island in a way that was both educational and deeply personal. We left with a greater appreciation for Barbados, its rich history, its warm people, and a stronger connection to my own family heritage.

About Bridgetown
Bridgetown, capital of Barbados, is a harbour town on Carlisle Bay with Georgian streets, a historic garrison and a rum-making heritage.
Bridgetown was founded by English settlers in 1628 on the southwest coast of Barbados, and its old centre and the nearby Garrison form a World Heritage Site. The Parliament Buildings, in Gothic Revival style, overlook National Heroes Square, the main square of the old town, and the Careenage, a narrow harbour inlet, is lined with old warehouses.
