Itinerary
On 5 July 1628, sixty-four settlers led by Charles Wolverstone arrived in Barbados and chose Bridgetown as the best location for a port, despite its unhealthy swampy land. The town was named after the Indian Bridge, built by the Amerindians. John Swan planned Bridgetown's main streets, with Swan Street named after him, and Broad Street named for its width. Early streets were poorly maintained, so a 1656 law fined property owners 100 pounds of sugar if they failed to keep the area clean. The swamp was later filled and replaced by a canal called the Careenage, where ships were repaired by careening.
The Hastings Boardwalk stretches about one mile along Barbados’ scenic south coast, connecting Hastings and Rockley while offering stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. This beautifully landscaped seaside pathway features swaying palms, refreshing ocean breezes, and access to peaceful beaches and coves with clear waters ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The boardwalk is a favorite destination for locals and visitors, offering a relaxing atmosphere with cafés, restaurants, and beachfront hotels nearby. Popular activities include walking, jogging, cycling, photography, and enjoying the coastal scenery. With its blend of natural beauty, island charm, and peaceful surroundings, the Hastings Boardwalk provides a perfect way to experience Barbados’ famous laid-back lifestyle.
Miami Beach, located on Barbados' beautiful south coast, is one of the island's most popular and picturesque beaches. Known for its soft white sand, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and swaying palm trees, it is a favorite destination for both locals and visitors. During our visit, we will make a brief stop to give you the opportunity to capture some memorable photographs and take in the stunning coastal scenery before continuing our tour.
Bathsheba, located on Barbados’ rugged east coast, is one of the island’s most scenic coastal villages, famous for its dramatic landscapes, powerful Atlantic waves, and distinctive coral rock formations. According to local tradition, the village was named after the biblical Bathsheba, whose legendary milk baths were said to resemble the white, foaming surf at the famous Soup Bowl. Today, Bathsheba is recognized internationally as one of Barbados’ top surfing destinations, attracting surfers from around the world with its strong Atlantic swells. The area is also popular with photographers, sightseers, and nature lovers who come to admire its breathtaking coastline and refreshing ocean breezes. Despite its popularity, Bathsheba has preserved the charm of a traditional Barbadian fishing village, with colorful seaside cottages and a peaceful atmosphere that showcases the island’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.
Enjoy a delicious local lunch during your tour at Sand Dunes, featuring a selection of traditional Barbadian favorites. Savor authentic island flavors with dishes such as fried fish, baked chicken, beef stew, peas and rice, macaroni pie, and fresh salads. This relaxing dining experience offers the perfect opportunity to sample the tastes of Barbados while taking a break and enjoying the warm island hospitality. Please advise us of any food allergies or dietary requirements at the time of booking so we can best accommodate your needs.
Rising approximately 850 feet above sea level, Cherry Tree Hill offers one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in Barbados. From this scenic vantage point, visitors can admire the rolling landscape of the Scotland District, a unique region that covers much of the parish of St. Andrew. The district is named after Scotland's patron saint because its rugged hills and valleys reminded early Scottish settlers of their homeland. It is believed that the name Cherry Tree Hill originated from the abundance of cherry trees that once grew in this area. Today, the road is lined with majestic West Indian mahogany trees, introduced to Barbados following the Treaty of Paris in 1763. As the journey descends upon the hill, the towering mahogany gradually gives way to expansive fields of swaying sugar cane, creating one of the island's most picturesque and memorable landscapes.
Our journey takes us to North Point, one of Barbados' most spectacular natural attractions, renowned for its breathtaking coastal scenery and dramatic Atlantic Ocean views. Located here is the famous Animal Flower Cave, the island's only accessible sea cave. Visitors who wish to explore the cave are welcome to do so; however, admission fees are not included in the cost of this tour. If you're visiting between December and April, you may be fortunate enough to witness humpback whales as they migrate through the Caribbean Sea. North Point is one of the island's best vantage points for spotting these magnificent creatures during their annual migration. Whether you're admiring the dramatic cliffs, watching the powerful Atlantic waves crash against the rocky shoreline, or taking in the sweeping ocean views, North Point offers an unforgettable experience and a perfect opportunity to appreciate the rugged natural beauty of Barbados.
Welcome to Speightstown, one of Barbados' oldest and most charming towns. Located on the island's picturesque northwest coast in the parish of St. Peter, Speightstown was established around 1630 and is the second-oldest town in Barbados. It was named after William Speight, an early landowner and member of Barbados' first House of Assembly. During the 17th and 18th centuries, Speightstown was Barbados' busiest seaport and a thriving center of commerce. Merchant ships sailed regularly between Barbados and the English port of Bristol, exporting sugar, molasses, rum, cotton, and other valuable goods. This close trading relationship earned the town the nickname "Little Bristol."

1Terrible Small Group Trip---Not recommended.
We had a private small group tour and honestly I can say it was the worst tour I have ever been on. I have been on private tours all over the world, and this was by far the worst, laziest tour I have ever experienced. Our guide was Orlando and he was just plan awful. We gave him a list of several things we wanted to see. He took us to places that were under construction and couldn't be accessed. Then he took us to a cave that was closed that day. Instead of letting us look around George Washington House, he instead took us to the Army garrison where we couldn't see anything. We go no history, no culture, no tour really. It was just a drive around the island. I totally would not recommend this tour or this tour company. They are unreasonable when asked for a refund for providing really crappy service. In addition, the driver was a sexist mysognyist, who frankly has no business in customer service or touring. Avoid Orlando and this company at all costs. There are must better companies to do business with on the island.
5A pinch of this and that for a full tour
Crisis (female) was our tour guide for the day, and by the end, we felt like family. Cris was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and humorous. Our tour was approx 6-7hrs of driving throughout all the beautiful sides of the island. Multiple site seeing stops along the way, so no worries about bathroom breaks. Water, rumpunch, lunch, and a snack provided. Beautiful, clean, air-conditioned vehicle.
5Great memories were made
We booked a private island tour for two and it was perfect! Our driver, Dunstan, was super friendly, knowledgeable and great conversation. He tailored the trip exactly to our likes and we made some great memories.
4Beautiful Barbados!
We had an amazing tour and kudos to Omar who was very enthusiastic and knows his work inside out. The amount of knowledge and information he shared was extensive and really amazed us. True to the title 'beautiful Barbados' we returned back home with a pleasant feel and solid rum punch! There's one thing we were confused though. The inclusions mentioned entry to animal cave. Yet we were asked to get tickets seperately during the lunch. We did and got the ticket again but I'm just hoping someone from the management team clears this confusion. PS: If you're planning on traveling to Barbados and are reading this- my advice would be to do this tour first (you may find cheaper packages if you ask at your hotel reception) after entering Barbados and not at the end like us. It helps plan rest of your trip unlike us who had to get first hand info with a bit of struggle. My suggestion: Don't miss Animal flower Cave tour, Harrison's cave, St. Philips beach, Catamaran tour with snorkeling and sea turtle/shipwrecks Bathsheba. Oistins only on Friday night, st.lawrence gap for parties(McNaughty's is a funny place)
5A very enjoyable coastal tour of Barbados....
Winston was our very friendly driver / guide, taking us all over the island. Highlights for us were Miami Beach (& fish cakes supplied), Bathsheba (Rum punch supplied) & lunch at the Animal Flower Cave restaurant. Sadly the weather was a bit of a washout but we enjoyed it nevertheless.
5Informative Trip
I always enjoy getting the feel of a place when its my first time visiting. This tour was perfect since it takes you around the entire island. You do get to stop and take pictures. Steven knows his island very well. He made us feel comfortable. The lunch was very good and the punch is strong and sweet. Would recommend

About Diamond Valley
Diamond Valley lies in the south-east of Barbados, the easternmost Caribbean island, a coral island of sugar-cane fields, gentle hills and beaches.
Diamond Valley sits in the parish of St Philip, on the south-east side of Barbados, a coral-limestone island roughly 34 kilometres long and the easternmost of the Caribbean islands. Crane Beach, a wide beach of pale sand backed by cliffs, lies on this coast. The land is gently rolling, with sugar-cane fields, gullies cut into the limestone, and villages of painted wooden chattel houses. Calm beaches face the Caribbean Sea along the west coast, while the Atlantic side to the east is rougher, with strong surf and rocky headlands.
