- Surf lessons are located in Kihei at Kalama Park (across the street from the Aloha Gas Station and Kihei Caffe). Look for the van that says WAVES Hawaii Surf School. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early. We also recommend bringing a towel, sunblock, and water to hydrate.

About Maui
Maui is the Hawaiian island of golden beaches, the Haleakalā volcano and the winding Road to Hana, with humpback whales offshore in winter.
Maui is the second-largest Hawaiian island, formed by two volcanic mountains joined by a low isthmus. Haleakalā, a vast dormant volcano rising over 3,000 metres, has a crater of coloured cinder and is famed for its sunrises and starry skies. The beaches of Kāʻanapali and Kapalua on the west face the sunset, and Wailea and Makena on the south coast have calm golden bays.
