Rather than returning to the same location each day, every trip is tuned to recent, current and forecast wind, swell, tide and underwater visibility, selecting the venue offering the best combination of safety and hunting conditions. Learn fish behavior, ethical harvesting, hunting strategy, shot placement and, if successful, how to humanely dispatch and prepare your catch.

- Please go to Surf Sanctuary at The Headland Hotel. We are located in the south west corner of the hotel, overlooking Fistral Beach. You will see our sign outside the door, and your guide Dom will be there to meet you. You can park directly outside the school.

Newquay sits on Cornwall's north coast, where Atlantic swell rolls onto a string of sandy beaches. Fistral Beach, facing west, is the town's famous surf beach, and Towan, Great Western and Lusty Glaze are smaller coves between the headlands. The harbour holds fishing boats and the Huer's Hut, a whitewashed lookout from which watchers once signalled the arrival of pilchard shoals.
