Tampa is a Gulf Coast city in Florida, with the historic Latin quarter of Ybor City, a downtown riverwalk and a waterfront on a wide bay.
Tampa stands on Tampa Bay in Florida, where the Hillsborough River runs through the downtown and the port is among the busiest in the state. Ybor City, a historic district, grew from the 1880s around cigar factories founded by Cuban and Spanish immigrants; its brick buildings, iron balconies and cafés remain, and chickens wander the streets. The Riverwalk follows the waterfront downtown.
