5Amazing Views from the top
We decided at the last minute to book SkyTram tickets during our Jasper stay in mid-September, but we had no problem getting a time that worked for us. We arrived 20 minutes early as instructed which gave us time to use the restroom and visit the gift shop. The skytram ride lasted 7 minutes and gave us great views of the area. Once at the top, you can choose to stay at this elevation or continue on and hike up to the Whistler summit. We went on to the summit. When you buy your ticket, you have to choose a return trip time too. We allowed 2 hours between the ride up and the ride down and had plenty of time to get to the summit and back to the skytram. We’re pretty fit and quick hikers so you might want to allow a little more time if you’re slower. The hike’s pretty steep but the views make it worthwhile. We were actually able to catch an earlier skytram down since we arrived early for our time slot but the one just prior to our time wasn’t full.
5Incredible views
A fantastic experience, and well worth the money - even on a cloudy (and snowy!) day. Staff very friendly, great views from the top when cloud/mist cleared and the hike you can do to the summit is well worth it (although moderately challenging). Staff very helpful when wanting to change flight times, and would highly recommend visiting this. Would allow c.2 hours for the trip if you are doing the hike as well.
5Great experience and worth the money
Great experience and worth the money. Definitely worth walking to the peak when you get to the top of the lift.

5World Class Experience Above Jasper
First time visit was June 24 just before wildfires. We returned to Jasper to be part of the tourism-led recovery and our flight on the Jasper Skytram was exceptional again. Staff are absolutely incredible (Groundcrew, Skytram and Restaurant) and the overall experience is world class. Not to be missed when you visit this amazing Mountain town - it really is a jewel.
5Sunset on the mountain
We booked this originally for 2 days previously, but it was raining and cloudy so we went there and they kindly changed the ticket and it was great as the weather was clear. It's a steep climb in the cable car to the top, and from there we hiked as far as we could up Whistlers Mountain before the light meant we had to go down again - there were people on top when we were coming down though, hope they had torches! It is a 2 hour round trip there and back if you want to do it and it is quite steep. We got some great views at sunset over the mountains and the town of Jasper
Jasper is a mountain town on the Athabasca River in Alberta, inside the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies, among glaciers, lakes and wildlife.
Jasper sits at about 1,060 metres on the Athabasca River, ringed by peaks, in the largest national park of the Canadian Rockies. The town grew around the railway in the early twentieth century, and elk graze on its lawns and wander its streets. The park, together with its neighbours, forms the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage site, and it is one of the largest dark-sky preserves in the world.
Top-ranked sights in Jasper: Maligne Lake, Medicine Lake, Spirit Island.
