If you want to have a open 4x4 tour just for you and your family up to 7 persons, this is the best choise. In a open roof 4x4, you'll visit the East side of Madeira, leaving the hotel and driving to Machico town. Then, using the old roads and forest roads our local guide/driver will take you to Portela, Porto da Cruz and Santana, where we'll have lunch and visit the traditional thatched houses. After lunch we go to Ribeiro Frio and Pico Areeiro (3rd highest peak) about 1818meters. About Funchal

Funchal is the capital of Madeira, a Portuguese island in the Atlantic, set on steep green hills with flower-filled gardens and a seafront old town.

Funchal spreads up a steep hillside above a natural harbour on Madeira's south coast. The old town, the Zona Velha, has narrow lanes with painted doors and small restaurants, and the cathedral dates from around 1500. The Mercado dos Lavradores sells tropical fruit, fish and flowers in a hall decorated with blue tiles. A cable car climbs from the harbourfront to Monte, high above.
