A Cairo city tour typically includes a visit to the Egyptian Museum to explore ancient artifacts and treasures, followed by a trip to the Citadel of Saladin to see the impressive medieval fortress and the Mosque of Muhammad Ali. The tour then heads to Coptic Cairo, where visitors can see ancient churches and learn about the history of Christianity in Egypt. Finally, the tour concludes with a trip to the bustling Khan el Khalili market to shop for souvenirs and experience the vibrant culture of Cairo.
This is another amazing all-day tour which starts with an Egyptoria Tours representative picking you up from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle. The first stop on this Cairo day tour is the Egyptian Museum. A stunning museum inside and out which houses over 250,000 artifacts spanning 5,000 years of history. They have a massive exhibit honoring King Tutankhamen including much of his gold and jewelry which was not discovered until the 1920s.
Stop number two is the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, which is located inside the Citadel of Salah El Din. You probably saw the mosque as you came into Cairo as it can be seen from almost any direction coming into the city. This mosque was built during the Ottoman Empire.
Then there will be lunch served at a local restaurant. After lunch, your Egyptoria guide will take you on a tour of Islamic Cairo. There you will be able to explore the Khan El Khalili, a bazaar that attracts both tourists and locals. If you have not done any shopping yet, this is your chance. Talk to your Egyptoria about the do’s and don’ts in the art of “haggling”.
After exploring the Islamic areas of Cairo, you will move on to Coptic Cairo, where our tour ends. Some locations you will visit include some of the oldest Churches in Cairo. You will visit the Hanging Church, Saint Sergius and Saint Bacchus Coptic Orthodox Churches, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, which is where baby Moses was found. You will also visit the Church of St. Barbara and the Church of Abu Serga. At the conclusion of our tour of Coptic Cairo, you will be dropped off at your hotel at the end of the day.

Top-ranked sights in El Cairo: Egyptian Museum (Museum of Egyptian Antiquities), Saqqara (Sakkara), Khan El-Khalili.
