Go on tour with the only operator in Arequipa Peru, which does adventure trekking tours leaving Arequipa at 7 am. As the 2-day trekking experience is in a small group with a maximum of 5 people the tour will be very flexible. It allows you to determine the speed during the hike or you can take some great pictures wherever you want. The service is also a superior one, as it is a customised tour and not in a big backpackergroup. For those with less hiking experience, you could take another route to descend into the canyon. The hike is a bit steeper, but it is a shorter route. You may hike directly to the oasis where you can spend the afternoon relaxing at the swimming pool.

About Arequipa
Arequipa, in southern Peru, is a white-stone colonial city beneath the cone of El Misti volcano, close to the deep Colca Canyon.
Arequipa lies at about 2,300 metres in the dry southern Andes, with the cone of El Misti volcano rising above it and Chachani and Pichu Pichu on either side. Its centre is built from sillar, a light volcanic stone that has earned it the name of the White City. The Plaza de Armas has arcades, palms and the cathedral, whose façade stretches the full length of one side.
