We visited two wineries and an olive oil factory where a visit and tasting is made in the different places. The wineries we visited are located in the Maipu area, as it is the closest productive area to the capital. We also try to vary, so that one of the wineries is more modern and the other older. About Mendoza
Mendoza is a wine city of tree-lined avenues and irrigation channels on a dry plain, with the high Andes rising to the west.
Mendoza was largely rebuilt after the earthquake of 1861, which is why its streets are wide and its squares open. Plane trees shade the pavements, watered by old irrigation channels called acequias. Plaza Independencia sits at the centre with four smaller squares around it, and the great Parque General San Martín climbs to the Cerro de la Gloria, a monument with a view over the city.
