Because we work with radio and send the guys ahead with whom we are in constant contact. We will pick you up from your hotel or holiday accommodation at around 6 p.m. After about an hour's drive, we will reach the nature reserve on the east coast of Boa Vista, where 80% of the egg laying takes place. We will pick you up from your hotel or holiday accommodation at around 6 p.m. After around an hour's drive we will reach the nature reserve on the east coast of Boa Vista, where 80% of the eggs are laid (loggerhead turtles). Sal Rei is a low, sandy fishing town on the west coast of Boa Vista, one of the eastern islands of Cape Verde, off West Africa. Pastel-coloured houses front a sheltered bay, with a small islet just offshore topped by an old fort, and a few streets of cafés and shops. The island is flat and desert-like, with sandy plains and low volcanic hills.
