This park is one of the most visited National parks in the country since its opening in 1916. Enjoy the informative exhibits at the Kilauea Visitor Center. Halema'uma'u crater has been active and sending its steam skyward for many years along with the Steam Vents throughout the park. Be amazed at the moon like landscape and see the diverse flora all over the park with its huge hapu'u ferns and Ohia Lehua trees.
