1. We leave from the hotels around 9 in the morning. We drive through the National Road N ° 3 to the north, entering in the valleys region and getting away from the Beagle Channel. We begin the trek of moderate difficulty and we will pass through a peat moss area, Fuegian forests and continue along the stream that will finally take us to its origin, the Emerald Lagoon. It will be 4.5 kilometers one way with a drop of 200 meters. Once in the lagoon we will have time to rest and enjoy the lunch box. On the path we will find beaver dams and we can witness the impact they generate in the forest.

About Ushuaia

Ushuaia, on the Beagle Channel in Tierra del Fuego, is often called the southernmost city in the world, a port ringed by snowy peaks.

Ushuaia sits on a narrow shelf between the Beagle Channel and the Martial mountains, in the Argentine half of Tierra del Fuego. It began as a mission and later became a penal colony, and the old prison, now a museum, tells that story alongside the maritime history of the far south. Painted houses climb the slope, and the harbour is where expedition ships leave for Antarctica.
