  1. The cable car ride to the top of the mountain is done in 2 stages: begin at the boarding station to Urca Mountain (224 meters) and then from Urca Mountain to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain (395 meters).

The 20-minute drive to the base of the statue takes you through the Tijuca Forest and gives you a preview of the landscapes ahead.
