Route
Explore the Louvre's essential sections with an expert guide, covering masterworks that span more than two thousand years of art history. Discover the palace's foundations at the moat, then wander among the collection of Classical Greek statues to find the mysterious Venus de Milo and the triumphant Winged Victory of Samothrace. Marvel at the stunningly sculpted Cupid & Psyche and Michelangelo's Slaves, and get drawn into a pivotal moment in French history as you gaze upon Delacroix's Liberty Leading the People. Study the masterpieces of Caravaggio, Raphael, and da Vinci, and admire the Romantic finesse of Géricault's The Raft of the Medusa. To finish, your guide leads you to the Salle des États, sharing the story and context of the Mona Lisa just outside the room. Once inside, you're free to take in the small but monumental portrait at your own pace, absorbing the detail of the lady's endlessly analyzed expression, before rejoining your guide to conclude the tour together.
The Louvre Pyramid is a stunning glass triangular prism that captivates everyone who visits the central courtyard of the Louvre Museum.
If Best of Paris option selected, your tour will begin at the Trocadéro with unforgettable Eiffel Tower views, continuing through the historic heart of Paris on Île de la Cité, and ending with a guided tour inside the world-famous Louvre Museum.
