Itinerario
It’s not the destination, it’s the journey! Enjoy a luxurious train ride through a 20-mile wilderness area, along a wild and scenic river, only accessible by rail. For 3.5-hours, enjoy comfort and style, exceptional amenities and outstanding service in vintage rail cars on a century-old route. Wind your way through a red rock paradise, with tracks that hug the curves of the Verde River. Every season offers a different reason to ride! Astonishing views of a wild and vibrant frontier, historic trestles, bridges and a 7000-foot tunnel are just a few of the highlights tucked into unusual rock formations, red rock pinnacles and towering crimson cliffs. Majestic bald eagles and hawks float effortlessly on the breeze above Javelina, wild burros, jackrabbits and many other Canyon creatures, peacefully coexisting with this heritage railroad for more than 100 years.
At the depot, be sure to visit the John Bell Museum, home to the railroad's history and artifacts from its early days, as well as a wealth of information on Clarkdale, Jerome and the Yavapai-Apache Nation.
The train runs on the same tracks that were created following the Verde River back in 1911. The river is visible for most of your journey.
SOB Canyon and the 150 ft tall bridge are highlights of the trip. Looking back from the bridge and down the canyon is simply gorgeous!
Discover the history of Perkinsville Ghost Town through on-board commentary on your train journey. This is the turn-around point of your trip.

5Great Train adventure
Worth the cost, very professional and friendly. Good food and drunks for a good price. Enjoyable for all!
5Oct 2026 Davis Family Trip
Lunch at train depot prior to the ride was very good and filling. Charcuterie board on board was very good as well. Drinks for purchase available. All staff were awesome! Jocelyn, our bartender was super friendly and very fun. Christopher was our open air car host and was very knowledgable. We arrived 2.5 hrs before our departure. I would definitely recommend a couple hours. We will do again next time in Sedona, probably the stargazer trip. Great for all ages. We had 11 month old to 80 year old. Very comfortable trip.
5Great experience!
Train was smooth, sights were great, and food was better than anticipated. Would recommend this activity to others. Very relaxing.
4Train Ride

5Verde Canyon experience.
A very well staffed and well organized team that runs this operation like a well oiled machine! Our car had a very knowledgeable guide, enhancing the experience on the open air car as well. The Champagne toast and charcuterie tray were a nice touch, and although we didn’t utilize the bar on this occasion, the bartender in our car seemed very attentive to the needs of everyone who did! It was a great experience overall for my wife and I.

About Sedona
Sedona is an Arizona town surrounded by red sandstone buttes and canyons, a landscape of rock formations, hiking trails and creekside cottonwoods.
Sedona lies at the mouth of Oak Creek Canyon in northern Arizona, at about 1,300 metres, surrounded by red sandstone buttes and spires with names such as Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte. The rock gets its colour from iron oxide, and it glows orange and crimson at sunset. Many believe certain spots hold spiritual energy, called vortexes, and the town has a New Age following.
Top-ranked sights in Sedona: Chapel of the Holy Cross, Oak Creek Canyon, Cathedral Rock.
