From there, the hike begins — a round-trip route of about 6 km — leading to the thrilling Central Crater of Etna at 3300 meters above sea level. It’s here that you can truly sense the soul of the volcano. The return path will be chosen based on weather conditions, passing through volcanic channels and deposits. The tour ends back at Piano Provenzana with a 4x4 descent.
