1. This is the official starting point of the tour Banhoek Lodge, Helshoogte Road (R310), Stellenbosch.You also may come park your car here safely. Please arrive 15mins before the tour starts so that we can provide you with the correct sized bike, helmet and also follow protocol. The tour will start with a briefing of the tour with your wine guide for the day. This point is also the end point of the tour. The bike tour goes through private wineries and vineyards and away from traffic and main roads.

About Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch, in the Western Cape, is a university town of oak-lined streets and Cape Dutch buildings, at the centre of South Africa's wine country.

Stellenbosch is the second-oldest European settlement in South Africa, founded in 1679 by Simon van der Stel, then governor of the Cape, who named it partly after himself. Its oak-shaded streets are lined with whitewashed Cape Dutch houses, and Dorp Street has some of the best preserved. The university gives the town a youthful air, while the Village Museum has restored houses from different periods.
