We are unique in that we offer this beautiful trip into our back yard with history from guides with over 30 years experience on the river and stories from maori elders going back 33 generations (or so). Also we pride ourselves on our homemade light lunch and the fact we can pick up from the ship. All trips get clients back onto the cruiseships well before departure.

5Scenic raft ride
We all had a great day out rafting down the scenic Mohaka river! Deon was a fun, friendly and knowledgeable guide. Thanks to Jo for the tasty sandwiches and snacks afterwards.

We had a great time on this tour, the views are spectacular and had lots of fun rafting! Deon’s team is great!
5A great trip down the...
A great trip down the river. The river has class 2 rapids (class 5 being the highest) so the trip was quite gentle with only smallish rapids but great fun) Lovely simple lunch at the end of the trip.
5Scenic Rafting
Beautiful scenery, fun activity, back to the ship with plenty of time to spare! The homemade lunch at the end was lovely and the guides were fantastic.

Very well organised. Suits and warm clothing and water shoes provided. River is scenic but not many rapids. Definitely for all ages

About Napier
Napier is an Art Deco seaside city on New Zealand's Hawke's Bay, rebuilt after the 1931 earthquake and close to vineyards and a famous gannet colony.
Napier was flattened by an earthquake in 1931, and the town was rebuilt in the styles of the day, giving it a rare concentration of Art Deco and Spanish Mission buildings. Walking tours pass pastel shopfronts with zigzag and sunburst motifs, and every February the city dresses in 1930s clothes for the Art Deco Weekend. Marine Parade runs along the shingle beach, with gardens, an aquarium and a bronze statue of Pania of the Reef.
