Itinerario
Apollo and Daphne – a life-size Baroque marble sculpture by Italian artist Gian Lorenzo Bernini, executed between 1622 and 1625. Located in the Galleria Borghese in Rome, this work depicts the culmination of the story of Apollo and Daphne .
David is a life-size marble sculpture by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Cardinal Scipione Borghese commissioned it to decorate the Borghese Gallery. The masterpiece was completed in seven months, from 1623 to 1624. The sculpture's main subject is the biblical David, about to throw the stone that will strike down Goliath, allowing David to behead him.
