My father was Bishop Albert of Livonia and I was happy with it, but then came a lot of foreigners, who wanted to conquer my heart. However, I managed to stay strong and proud. Great walking tour of Riga! The guide was friendly, engaging, and shared lots of interesting information about the city. I learned a lot and really enjoyed the experience!
5Fantastic Tour Everyone Who Comes to Riga Should Take
This the first time booking such tours with TripAdvisor and can’t be easier than this even though we made last minute booking. Our guide is really a professional very thorough in explaining about Riga’s history and its historic structures for full duration of the tour. The tour office & meeting place is also right at the old town square and we have plenty of opportunities to take photos of countries historic buildings of Riga. No wonder it’s a UNESCO heritage listed. We will be coming Riga again

Good tour and informative. Our guide had modest English skills and felt like she was working to a script and schedule. But, she did know where every old city wall ever existed and so there's that... But for me, when someone works to a script, it's like reading a Wikipedia page instead of having a dialogue about the history and culture of the city.

Despite the cool and rainy weather, we thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour. Very knowledgeable and professional guide who knew a few places to get out of the weather.

About Riga
Riga, Latvia's capital on the Baltic, is a Hanseatic city of medieval spires and streets of Art Nouveau façades.
Riga was founded in 1201 and grew rich as a Hanseatic trading port on the Daugava River. Its old town, listed by UNESCO, has cobbled lanes around the Dome Cathedral, with a famous organ, and the spire of St Peter's Church, which has a viewing platform.
