In evidenza
HOP is Patagonia Hop’s timed city loop, designed specifically for cruise passengers visiting Punta Arenas. It is a great intro to Punta Arenas when short on time HOP is the only sightseeing loop in Punta Arenas created exclusively for cruise passengers. Unlike traditional all-day hop-on hop-off buses, HOP operates as a timed city loop, allowing passengers to step off at any stop on the route, explore at their own pace, and rejoin later if time and seating allow—all with a guaranteed return to port. Passengers may step off at any stop along the route. Reboarding is possible later depending on timing, traffic, and seat availability. One full loop takes approximately 2 hours.

1Disappointed but understandable
Unfortunately we did not get to experience our activity. We were informed early morning that it was cancelled due to technical difficulties. The operator of the tour was very apologetic for this inconvenience and we are supposed to get a full refund. He has kept us informed of the refund and this was greatly appreciated. We will actually see it when deposited in our account. It would have been terrific getting off the ship after sailing for days in open waters.
5The best in Punta Arenas!
Gerardo himself is a gem. He has hired an excellent team who are friendly, courteous, and conscientious. They solved our problem economically, after another tour company stood us up. They even trusted us to pay later. Their hop service was flexible, informative, outstanding, and a great value. They readily adjusted for our particular interests. We can’t recommend them highly enough, they deserve more than even five stars. What a wonderful team!
5Great intro to Punta Arenas when short on time
Nice short hop on/off tour of Punta Arenas. Interesting things to see Drivers were all friendly (we hopped off/on several times. Great for a cruise ship stop that wasn't very long. We arrived late but the host was able and willing to accommodate us. Highly recommend
1Beware - this company is a scam
THIS IS A SCAM!!! They never showed up despite claiming they were at the pier with a sign. I texted the tour guide who responded the morning of the tour UNTIL an hour before pick-up time. Then he stopped responding so I did “live chat”. They give me a link for an address (1/2 hour after we were to meet our tour guide) which was at the pier but there was no one at the pier with a sign. We walked to the tourist building and they said there is no HOP ON tour and did not know of a tour company called Amigos Patagonia or VIATOR! Beware this is a scam!!

About Punta Arenas
Punta Arenas is the main city of Chilean Patagonia, a windswept port on the Strait of Magellan with wool-era mansions and penguin colonies nearby.
Punta Arenas stands on the Strait of Magellan, the sea route between the Atlantic and the Pacific, one of the southernmost cities in the world. Plaza Muñoz Gamero, with its monument to Magellan, is ringed by grand houses built by sheep-farming and shipping families in the late nineteenth century, and the municipal cemetery a few blocks away has avenues of clipped cypresses and ornate tombs.
Top-ranked sights in Punta Arenas: Strait of Magellan, Magdalena Island (Isla Magdalena), Fort Bulnes (Fuerte Bulnes).
