This way once the tour is over you can pop back into your clean clothes and leave us to deal with your dirty laundry! On the tour you will also be required to wear a helmet and head lamp which we provide.

5Such a great time!
Absolutely wonderful! So much more than the typical Glowworm tour. Truly unique, fun, and memorable. Highly recommend for anyone fun and adventurous! Thanks Ash, you were a perfect guide.
5Slip, Slide and Away through the Glow Worm caves at dusk!
This was a fun and unique experience. Getting all dressed up in their clothes and galoshes and then wading into the tunnels at night was such a treat. Ash was a great guide. He put up with our American humor and helped us navigate through the caves on his families land! I would totally recommend this tour over any where you sit in a boat for 20 minutes. We spent 3+ hours in god's magnificent wonderland, full of glow worms and other critters!

So much fun. Ash was both entertaining and accommodating to make sure we had fun and were safe the entire way. The cave were beautiful and the experience is like no other.

About Waitomo
Waitomo is a village in the King Country, on limestone hills riddled with caves, where glow-worms light the cave ceilings.
Waitomo sits in rolling sheep country in the northern King Country of the North Island, about an hour's drive south of Hamilton. The name comes from Māori words for water and hole, and the limestone hills under the farmland are riddled with caves. In the best known of them, the Glowworm Cave, boats glide beneath a ceiling dotted with the blue-green lights of a glow-worm found only in New Zealand.
