About São Paulo
São Paulo is Brazil's largest city, a sprawling metropolis of art museums, street markets and immigrant neighbourhoods, famed for its food.
São Paulo spreads across a plateau about 750 metres above sea level, a sea of towers broken by patches of green. Avenida Paulista is the main boulevard, with the MASP art museum raised on two red concrete frames above a public square.
