This is the most challenging hike in Sri Lanka. Climbing the sacred conical mountain over 5000 crumbling steps is a glorified experience for all hiking lovers. Many thousands of people climb this mountain every year, but it is more of a pilgrimage. Adam’s Peak is a world-famous religious destination for almost every nation on the planet. It is a hike, more than a trek, and it is challenging. Starting the sacred journey in the morning at the bottom will take until the evening when you reach the top. About Nuwara Eliya
Nuwara Eliya is Sri Lanka's best-known hill station, a cool town high in the tea country with colonial-style cottages, lakes and gardens.
Nuwara Eliya sits at about 1,900 metres in the central highlands, cool and often misty, with tea-covered slopes rolling out on every side. The British developed it as a retreat from the lowland heat in the nineteenth century, and its Tudor-style cottages, red post box, golf course and Victoria Park have earned it the nickname Little England.
