1. We marvel at the gothic masterpiece of a Wrocław Town Hall. You will learn the stories of the oldest beer cellar in Europe and general history of the city taken over by 5 different countries throughout its history.

2. We walk around the Market Square, Rynek, and point out the most significant structures around it, including baroque and modernist houses, the pillory, the cloth hall with numerous passages.

3. We talk about the most important church of the Old Town with its 91 meters tall tower and discuss the modern art and famous Wrocław dwarfs next to it.

4. The tour takes you to the baroque University of Wrocław, home to as many as 10 Nobel Prize winners.

5. Crossing the number of bridges the tour enters the oldest part of the city, dating back to 10th century, Ostrów Tumski, the Cathedral Island with numerous gothic churches, palaces and grand views of the Oder river. There we touch on the complex history of the city again, especially in regard to Polish-German relations.

  We added a 3 day trip to Wroclaw on our trip from Prague to Krakow and am I glad we did. What an interesting and beautiful city! Or guide, Lucas, was in both informative and entertaining. He answered all of our questions within enthusiasm. We all truly enjoyed this walking tour

  A great tour. Our guide, Lukasz has a degree in history (among other degrees) and was able to spin the history of Wrocław into understandable bites for us, a very international group. Also injecting his dry humor at points.

About Wrocław

Wrocław is the historic capital of Lower Silesia in Poland, a city of islands and bridges on the Oder with a vast market square and little bronze dwarfs.

Wrocław is spread across islands and channels of the Oder river, joined by a tangle of bridges, and it was known as Breslau when it belonged to Germany until 1945. The Market Square is one of the largest in Europe, ringed by coloured gabled houses and dominated by the Gothic Old Town Hall. Ostrów Tumski, the Cathedral Island and the oldest part of the city, still has gas lamps.
