On this tour you'll explore the Mersey River (one of the most beautiful places in the park to paddle, in my opinion). Rendezvous at the Whynot Adventure HQ (Jake's Landing) 15 min before the tour is set to start. We have a large parking lot situated just before you arrive at our location on the river. We recommend bringing a camera as this tour is full of wildlife photography options (I know you're thinking moose and bears, but in Keji we specialize in turtles, giant bullfrogs, muskrat, beavers and white-tailed deer, oh and sometimes a swimming squirrel). On this guided tour you might learn about 'Keji tea' or hear the legend of Jim Charles' Gold, while paddling your canoe or kayak up the river with intermittent stops to take in the magic and learn about some of Keji's secrets. This tour is an 'out n'back' so you'll get to enjoy the gentle current on the way back to Jake's Landing.

5Meandering down the Mersey.
We had a great day guided by Amanda, very informative and interesting. Would recommend this short excursion.
5Great canoe trip
Amanda was a great guide: full of interesting info about local wildlife on the river. Excellent tour, prep practicalities, good kit and stable canoes
5Mersey River Adventure
Our guide was fantastic! She knew a great deal about the history of Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site, and she explained how people and nature have shaped the Mersey River over time. The river itself is beautiful and peaceful. I highly recommend booking the Mersey River Quickie Adventure with Whynot Adventure.
5Friendly, fast and knowledgeable!
We arrived to be greeted by a very friendly Team, gearing us up quickly and giving us advice on the best turtle spotting route. We had a great experience on the water and saw lots of turtles throughout our paddle. A+

Kejimkujik National Park is a protected area of lakes, forests and rivers in inland south-western Nova Scotia, with canoe routes and Mi'kmaw heritage.
Kejimkujik National Park, known locally as Keji, protects a quiet landscape of lakes, slow rivers and mixed forest in the interior of south-western Nova Scotia. A separate coastal section, Kejimkujik Seaside, protects a rugged shoreline of beaches and headlands on the Atlantic. The park is also a National Historic Site of Canada because of the long Mi'kmaw use of the area.
