5Calming and relaxing
It’s really a wonderful experience getting to pick which one you would like to put back together and you get to keep it, 10/10
5Genuinely the best time...
Genuinely the best time I've had. Super relaxing quiet space just for art. We made two little plate things which are super cute and we also picked out some kintsugi pieces at the end. The ladies have super clear instructions which made my time very relaxing as I knew what to do. Big thank you to you guys as we thoroughly enjoyed this!!!
5More Than Just a Workshop
This was hands down one of the best experiences we've had in Okinawa. From the moment we walked in, Mayo and Aya made us feel so welcome. They were incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain not only the Kintsugi process but also the beautiful philosophy behind it. Even with no prior experience, they made us feel comfortable and encouraged every step of the way. There's something incredibly special about taking something broken and transforming it into something even more beautiful. It wasn't just an art class—it was a meaningful experience that left a lasting impression on both of us. The atmosphere was relaxing, the instruction was excellent, and we left with our own unique pieces that we'll treasure forever. It made for such a memorable date, and it's something we'll always look back on whenever we see our repaired pottery. If you're visiting Okinawa, I can't recommend this workshop enough. Thank you, Mayo and Aya, for sharing your passion, your kindness, and this beautiful Japanese tradition with us. We would absolutely do it again! 💛🏺
5A wonderful experience
What an amazing experience. The ladies who ran the class were so very talented and patient. They helped clean up the final product so what we took home was uniquely perfect. We finished our experience with a cup of cold tea and a local biscuit in their beautiful little studio.
5Fun workshop
A fun workshop that gives you the knowledge of how to choose and then make your own piece to take home. Instructions were clear and tutors helped throughout the process. History of kintsugi was explained along with modern day approaches. An enjoyable way to spend 1-2 hours.
5A fun class to do!
Fun and informative class. So nice to be able to take a special souvenir home. They walked you through every step.
Naha is the capital of Okinawa, a subtropical port city with the Ryukyu kingdom's hilltop castle, a lively market street and Okinawan cooking.
Naha is the capital and main port of Okinawa Prefecture, on the west coast of Okinawa's main island in the East China Sea. For centuries it served the Ryukyu Kingdom, whose kings lived at Shuri Castle on a hill above the city, and the castle site and the nearby Tamaudun royal tombs are part of a World Heritage listing. Kokusai-dori, the International Street, runs through the centre lined with shops, and Makishi Public Market sells fish and pork.
