Meet third-generation artisan Yuji Koie, learn how local clay is transformed into crocks, and experience the craft firsthand by creating your own vessel. Choose its color and leave the firing and finishing to the artisans. Your finished crock will be ready several months later, offering a lasting connection to Tokoname’s pottery heritage and Japan’s rich fermentation culture.
