1. It has more than a thousand years of existence and its peculiar characteristic is that it grows in the middle of the Palpeño desert.

5. Our fifth stop, 11 km east of the city of Palpa, these petroglyphs are distributed in three sectors, embodied in volcanic and alluvial rocks.

6. Our sixth stop we will know the geoglyphs of the Royal Paracas Family, huge zoomorphic and phytomorphic geometric drawings similar to the Nazca Lines.

7. In the last tour we will meet an attractive called La Maquina spring, where you can bathe in the place, which is born as a product of a geological fault of the tertiary era, which practically divides the hills of the Palpa valley to the Rio Grande valley.

About Ica

Ica is a desert city on Peru's south coast, known for its vineyards and pisco, the nearby oasis of Huacachina and the Nazca Lines to the south.

Ica lies in a dry river valley on Peru's southern coast, a green strip of vineyards, cotton fields and orchards between the Pacific and the Andean foothills. The Ica Regional Museum holds mummies, textiles and trophy heads from the Paracas, Nazca and Inca cultures, and the colonial centre has a plaza with a cathedral. The region is one of Peru's centres of pisco, the grape brandy, and many bodegas on the roads around town make it.
