  • 5Top-notch views and rafting crew

Rafting down the Squamish River was the best way to wrap-up our Vancouver, BC trip! The views and rafting crew were all top notch! A shout-out to our rafting guide, Mila!

  • 5Birthday Bucket List

The rafting company provided all of the essentials. Wet suit, booties, fleece jacket, rain coat and a helmet. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the river and the rapids. 2 members of our group had never rafted before and the staff and our guide made them feel very safe. Communication was great and safety was a big priority. The only negative was the long ride to Squamish from Vancouver (1.5 hours) Take drugs if you get car sick, the roads are very windy up to base camp. Then it was another 50 minutes to the drop off site and the school bus is very bumpy. The water is very cold but the scenery is so beautiful. Another great thing about the trip is they're the only rafting company on the river, so we didn't have to compete with other rafts or big groups. I give them a 10 out of 10 for our group. We had the best time! Thank you to everyone at Canadian Outback Rafting

Our family of 5 had the most incredible day rafting! Our rafting guide Mariano was the best and made our experience safe and lots of fun. We hit some fast rapids & big waves! We would highly recommend this tour. It was the highlight of our trip to BC!

About Squamish

Squamish sits at the head of Howe Sound in British Columbia, beneath the granite wall of the Stawamus Chief, a base for climbing and hiking.

At the head of Howe Sound, a long fjord north of Vancouver, Squamish lies between the water and steep, forested mountains. The Stawamus Chief, a granite monolith that rises hundreds of metres above the town, draws climbers to its walls and hikers to its three summits, while Shannon Falls drops more than three hundred metres in a long white ribbon beside the highway.

Top-ranked sights in Squamish: Porteau Cove Provincial Park, Stawamus Chief Provincial Park.
