Join our small group of food lovers and follow your foodie guide to bakeries, wine shops, cafés and restaurants, and taste local fare along with wines from distinctive cellars. You will visit a local market and receive personalised attention while mixing with the community to learn and practise some basic Italian conversation to make new friends in Italy. Continue your journey to some hidden quarters which you may otherwise have missed and be treated to typical “spuntini salati” all washed down with glasses of Italian wine. After all this walking, we'll have one final stop: a well-deserved relaxing lunch at a stunning XIX century villa in Brunate with magnificent views over the lake and mountains. We will take the funicular for a memorable experience.

About Lake Como

Lake Como is a deep, Y-shaped lake in Lombardy, ringed by steep green mountains, pastel villages, ornate villas and terraced gardens.

Lake Como is shaped like an upside-down Y, with three arms that meet near Bellagio. At more than 400 metres deep, it is one of the deepest lakes in Europe, held between steep wooded slopes that rise towards the Alps. Villages with painted houses and small harbours stand along the water, and a network of ferries links them, making a boat the best way to see the shoreline.
