Learn to surf in Santa Cruz during a 2.5-hour clinic designed with the beginner in mind. Novices are welcome, as well as anyone who has tried surfing but could use some tips for balancing on the board and catching a wave. You'll get plenty of practice with paddling and pop-up techniques while learning about wave breaks, ocean conditions, and safety in and out of the water, including surf etiquette. 5Great Surf Lesson
Eden was the youngest in her class of 5 and the instructor took great care of her. She got up on the board and absolutely loved it.

oh em gee what an amazing experience!! the instructors were kind, helpful, experienced, & just overall really chill people ! it felt like i was being taught by friends rather than complete strangers. everything was a 10/10 experience & i’d definitely recommend!!
5Mom and sons surff day!
A bonding moment with my boys or with your family, Chace was our instructor and he was wonderful took his time and didn't rush us stayed at our pace and there was 3 of us with different paces wet suits kept us warm and had a blast. We well be back.
5Surf Lessons with Surfer Jeff
We loved our experience with Surfer Jeff. He immediately made my boys, 12yrs and 9yrs, feel comfortable with his good sense of humor the minute he met them. He did an awesome job teaching them about safety and expectations before getting in the water. Surfer Jeff helped and encouraged them the whole time, giving them them constant praise and instruction. It was a cold day to go surfing but there were zero complaints!
5Great first surf lesson
We had a fantastic surf lesson. The instructor (I think it was Ben) was very safety focused, which was definitely a good thing as the waves were big for beginners! We managed to catch waves with some assistance and it was incredibly fun. We even saw a sea lion!
