Itinerario

1. We start the tour of the accommodations for our trips from the company office

2. We will begin our adventure, making two stops for landscape contemplation, Mirador del Valle Carbajal, and Paso Garibaldi. In this last one, we will also be able to contemplate the landscapes that await us later. We will observe active castor bean plants on the road. We will descend the same way to Lago Escondido, along the old trace of National Route Number 3.

3. Upon arriving at our cabin by Lake Fagnano, after using the restrooms, we will begin our hike, where we enter a century-old lenga forest until we reach the beaver area. We should approach stealthily so as not to disturb these incredible animals, who build their dams and burrows with the local trees as if they were architects. These small reservoirs of calm waters, a place also chosen by families of cauquenes, are the places where beavers live. When we return to the cabin, a delicious dinner will be waiting for us.

4. At our stop at Estancia La Carmen, we will have the opportunity to enjoy the facilities by Lake Fagnano, one of the largest in Argentina and South America. Once back at the refuge, by the warmth of the embers, among shared anecdotes, we will start to enjoy a platter of salami and cheese, with a delicious glass of wine, while we cook the roast, or we can walk along the lake, enjoying the best views on the docks, contemplating the beauties of the surroundings sitting on one of the benches by the lake. After dinner we will return to the city of Ushuaia

About Ushuaia

Ushuaia, on the Beagle Channel in Tierra del Fuego, is often called the southernmost city in the world, a port ringed by snowy peaks.

Ushuaia sits on a narrow shelf between the Beagle Channel and the Martial mountains, in the Argentine half of Tierra del Fuego. It began as a mission and later became a penal colony, and the old prison, now a museum, tells that story alongside the maritime history of the far south. Painted houses climb the slope, and the harbour is where expedition ships leave for Antarctica.
